A new Costa Coffee cafe could be set to open in Rochdale .
The chain has applied to Rochdale council for planning permission for four illuminated signs at Kingsway Retail Park.
It comes after Costa Coffee launched a new branch in the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre last January, creating eight new jobs.
Another 10 jobs were created when the firm opened a new branch in Middleton Shopping Centre in June.
A spokesperson for the chain said that it is currently ‘evaluating opportunities’ in the borough, but added no firm plans are in place.
They added: “As the UK’s favourite coffee shop brand, we work closely with planning departments across the country to open new stores for the benefit of their local communities, creating new jobs and providing attractive and popular social meeting places.
“We are currently evaluating opportunities in the Rochdale area, but have no firm plans in place at this stage.”
